Containerized housing used as mining camps

Share:

Mining camps are usually located in remote areas with limited access. Containerized housing is based on containers as the basic unit, which facilitates transportation to the mining site by various means of transport. It is relatively easy to transport them by large trucks on the road, by rail, or even by helicopter in some complex terrains to lift some of the smaller container modules.

Products Description

Mining operations may need to move camps due to factors such as the progress of the vein, changes in ore quality, and other factors. Container houses can be quickly erected and dismantled to accommodate such changes. Once a new mining site has been selected, the container house can be quickly transported and assembled into a camp. Once mining is complete, they can be quickly disassembled and transported away without leaving a large amount of construction debris on the site that is difficult to clean up. Typically, a group of skilled builders can set up a mining camp that meets basic needs within a few days.

Camp layout planning points

Reasonable functional zoning

Mining camps are generally divided into living area, office area, production area and warehouse area. The living area should be far away from the noise and dust of the production area to provide a quiet and comfortable living environment for miners. The office area is located between the living area and the production area, which is convenient for managers to coordinate and manage the production and life. The production area should be reasonably laid out according to the mining process and equipment placement requirements to ensure efficient production. The warehouse area should be close to the production area and the transportation channel, so as to facilitate the entry and exit of materials.

Safety Protection Measures

Set up fences around the camp to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering. In the production and warehouse areas, set up obvious safety warning signs to remind miners to pay attention to safety. For areas with hazardous chemical storage, set up specialized fire, explosion and leakage prevention facilities, such as firewalls, explosion-proof dykes and leakage collection pools. At the same time, fire escapes and emergency evacuation routes are reasonably planned within the camp to ensure that personnel can be quickly evacuated in the event of fire or other emergencies.

Environmental Considerations

Mining camps generate a large amount of waste, including domestic garbage and production waste. When laying out the camp, consider setting up garbage collection points and treatment facilities to collect and treat different types of waste in a categorized manner. For wastewater that may cause pollution to the environment, set up wastewater treatment facilities to ensure that wastewater is discharged according to standards. At the same time, minimize the damage to the surrounding natural environment during the construction and operation of the camp and protect the ecological balance of the mining area.
